Question / Help Launching OBS-Studio with a different settings path?

Do you want this because you want be able to have multiple sets of settings, or because you want to store your setting somewhere else?
 
The former, but the latter would always be nice, as I like to unclutter my ~/ of directories. :)

I occasionally stream myself playing games, for which I have one set of scenes, and I also host live podcast recording, and I like to segregate these into separate profiles, especially since I use different encoding settings for each.
 
The feature you're asking for is profiles, which is one of the things currently being worked on.

Hallelujah! I normally stream to my own front end but sometimes stream to Twitch. It will be nice when my settings don't get wiped out by switching. :)
 
My current ugly way to do it while I wait for profiles is that I have a symlink that I move around (~/.obs/basic.dev/ , ~/.obs/basic.twitch, ~/.obs/basic.youtube, and so on) and a little launch script that sets up the symlink before starting OBS
 
Profiles had to have a slight delay to 0.10.1 or 0.11.0. Right now 0.10.0 will be the update to add hotkey support.
