Latest version causing encoding overload issues

So I upgraded to the latest version over the weekend and when I tried to stream tonight, It is giving me the encoding overloaded! and my CPU usage is only 5%. Not sure what happened in the latest version but can I go back to an earlier version?

Log files uploaded:

I had no issues prior to the upgrade. I have rebooted my PC, my router, and everything else I could think of. My internet shows I have nearly a full gigabyte of internet (both upload and download) so I am unsure why I am getting this issue.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I found out from my log files that I was using version 30.0.2 prior to this weekend. Doing twitch test with 30.1.2, major encoding issues. Switched back to 30.0.2, same settings, no encoding issues at all. Not sure what changed, but seems something did that is causing my issues.

I really want to use the latest version. Can someone please look at this and tell me what the issue is. I loaded 30.1.1 and it has the issue as well. As soon as I start streaming I have encoder overloading issues. With 30.0.2, which I have been running for over a month, I have no encoder issues. My computer has not changed, my settings have not changed. My overlays have not changed (there are errors in the logs about my overlays).

I would appreciate someone's help on this as I have no idea why the newer versions are causing me to not be able to stream.

Hey All,

I am a little bothered here. I see on these forums, some posts with logs attached, getting 5-10 replies of people helping them, but I am unsure why mine is not getting the response I need. I am sorry if I am missing something or if I did something wrong, but I could really use some help here. I did narrow down the problem by installing multiple versions and I even posted that I did notice in the logs something about my StreamElements overlays (maybe it is StreamElements as everyone knows (except me) that no self respecting streamer would use them - I don't). At this point I would be happy if someone would tell me what I did wrong and how I can get this resolved as I am really at a loss why no one, but myself, has replied.

Thanks in advance.

Try connecting directly without any other program in between, like nordvpn.
If you have added any custom setting to the encoder, remove it.
Try using simple output mode instead of advanced. For most cases you don't need advanced output.
If you used any network optimization software, undo the changes.

Use this tool to better measure the quality of your internet connection against twitch servers:
Anything bellow 90 quality is bad and shows an issue on the network. Most times is related to issues on the ISP.

PaiSand,

Thanks for the response. I did that.. I use NordVPN and with my VPN running the speedtest shows 200-300 mbps and with NordVPN shutdown I get right at 950 mbps on the speedtest. In both cases, the version 30.1.1 and 30.1.2 show encoding issues immediately from the start of the stream.

I used the twitch test stream function to identify the issues (after my normal stream was unable to be continued) and that is how I identified the issues.

As mentioned when I switch back to version 30.0.2 (the version I have been using for the last 30 days), I have zero issues and everything works fine. It really seems like there is an encoding issue with the latest versions (I am using AMD hardware encoding) and I found a post that talks about that, but I was also wondering about the StreamElements issues mentioned and if they could be a factor as they are showing in the logs from 30.1.1 and 30.1.2, but not in the logs of the 30.0.2.

I also looked through the release notes of the versions between 30.0.2 (last of the 30.0 versions) and the two Beta and 2 production release of the 30.1 line and I could find nothing that specifically mentions AMD encoding or encoding in general. As mentioned there was another post that mentioned this (I have read almost all the posts in the forums at this point) but no one has emphatically looked through my logs (until you - thanks again) to let me know if I do have an issue with the version I should report and how exactly I do that.

Once again, thanks for the response. I really appreciate it.
