if using a source 30fps and higher set the canvas framerate to 20 fps. this will cause frames to drop and essentially cause pseudo frame skipping. regardless of your latency. the frame being delivered from the source will be ahead of what's going on in real life which will allow the illusion of low latency. if using an amd encoder you could also use skipdraw to enable frame skipping at the source. this has advantages such as being able to stream on streaming sites that change your framerate.
