Question / Help Last OBS patch loads the processor Ryzen 7 2700X to 100%

The fact is that I always had the following settings for the OBS

And the last update broke me streams of almost any game.
I attach skin shots

My computer:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
Video card - MSI Geforce GTX 1050Ti 4G Gaming X
RAM - Crucial DDR4 2666 Mhz 19CL - 16G
Motherboard - ASRock B450 Pro 4

The temperature of the processor and video card does not exceed 65 degrees Celsius

I was very upset by the latest update. Are the developers aware of the problem? Or can nothing be done and will I have to lower the settings of the OBS?
On my settings, I perfectly streamed the following games:
Remnant: From the Ashes
Wolfenstein: youngblood
Man of Medan
CONTROL
borderlands 3

Before the new patch, I streamed borderlands 3 and everything was fine, 60 fps, everything is fine on the stream!
However, after a new patch, I again tried to stream borderlands 3, and saw that there were 1-2 fps on the stream.
I did not change the settings, but something still broke.
I thought that a virus or an antivirus is to blame for everything, maybe some other running programs, but no!
I tried to download the classic OBS and there was the same problem, during the stream my processor is 100% loaded!
Although the games themselves do not consume more than 30-35% of the processor.
In idle mode, Windows loads the processor by 1-2%
I can not believe that the OBS can load my processor by 70% with my settings! This has never happened before!
Could there be a problem in a recent Windows update?
OBS loads the processor up to 85-90% even if you just watch the video and stream it! This is extremely strange!

I have the same cpu and since the update I have been having dropped frames due to encoder lag. Never had any problems before the update and nothing had changed besides obs and stream deck updates.

Weird. I have the same cpu and everything is working fine for me. Latest obs version and latest windows update.

EDIT: Thought I wanna mention that streaming 1080p 60fps on fast preset for a single pc is very taxing even for the 2700x unfortunately. I know you said you used to stream with the same settings for some games, but in other games using the fast preset (still 1080p60fps) can and will max out the cpu. I myself couldnt get the 2700x past the faster preset without encoding lag on 1080p 60fps. That said, if I were you, I would feel very comfortable streaming on the veryfast preset with 9000kbps bitrate. Just my opinion though.

Anyway, I suggest you head over the OBS discord. You'll get quicker help by obs "tech savy guys" too. Good luck!

Thank you very much! I will try the preset that you advised, but I think the picture quality will be many times worse than at FAST... :(

Well on a technical view, yes it will be worst. But the difference will be near unnoticable to the eyes. Do some tests first and check if you see the difference for yourself.

You could also try the NVENC encoder. Im not sur which NVENC encoder the gtx 1050ti uses, but if its the "old" one, the quality is close to faster cpu preset. And the "new" one is similar to fast cpu preset. People usually underestimate the NVENC encoder, but its a really powerful encoder nowadays.

But like I said, try it for yourself and make your own decision :) ! Also, dont forget to head over the obs discord. You'll get more help!
