I use a Thinkpad X230 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz 16 GB & EVO SSD with Windows 10 Pro for recording at 1366x768. Debloated, QuickCPU, minimal background apps, etc.
I can record without dropped frames @ 1366x768 with the PC's screen but not @ 1920x1080 with an attached monitor. The processor is just too underpowered for this.
I quite like the Thinkpad for everything else, but would appreciate recommendations for an inexpensive used laptop just for recording @ 1920x1080 with OBS. I do no gaming, etc, just record TV shows and have no desire to add on external graphics and have no space for a desktop.
I need the cheapest thing adequate for this and would appreciate any recommendations or advice.
