So I've been using OBS for around 3 months and so far, everything has worked out fine. There wasn't any lag or low frame rates when running OBS. After shutting down my laptop for around 3 hours, OBS started to make my whole laptop lag. When I start to record, there are some occasions (10-20 seconds) where it wouldn't lag the whole laptop. Previously, I could switch over to youtube when recording and everything would run smoothly but not now.
I've tried reinstalling OBS but nothing changed.
I've also tried minimizing OBS when recording but the same still occurs.
I don't think it has anything to do with the settings in OBS because shutting down my laptop doesn't change any settings within OBS.
I have turned off Game Mode in Windows 10.
Please help, I need OBS to record my online lessons...
