I was using obs (v19) fine for the last few months but I started recording Overwatch games and ran into some problems.
I downloaded the latest (v21), it was working ok yesterday except for suddenly stopping the video due to memory leaks, thereby invalidating the recording.I started changing my display settings and I realized i was concurrently recording my screen twice, In other words I had two display captures - I dont know how,why or how longs it was like this but I deleted one in the hopes this was the reason for my memory leaks. Dev note, these captures settings followed me accross version so they are the same that I was using before I updated.
However when I started to record I started getting the black screen issue - I can capture sound from my mic but no images.
I began following the black screen fix steps for my laptop but I do not have a Radeon card I have an intel 4600 so I didnt have access to the program that let me change graphics adapters.
So I decided to revert back to v19 but now that dosent work as it crashes when i record anything.
I'm assuming there are some dependencies (dlls or such) somewhere that might be of a different version and causing v19 to crash. Can you tell me where they are so I can manually delete them and reinstall with a clean slate?
I'm going to upload my log files from the last few days as this might help in the black screen issue because I was DEFINITELY able to record game play up till yesterday on both v18,v19 and v21 without running into this issue.
Actually, maybe having two display captures was the way to go, but in the drop down menu I only have one now. However, on this machine I used to connect to a second monitor and maybe that's why I had two captures and this somehow bugged over into letting me by pass the black screen issue for so long. I mean that might make sense given that its an issue with the screen and obs running on two different GPUs. Its just annoying that it stopped working and I cant reproduce it...ill check it out later
