Hello all.

I am new to OBS and recording. I am working on a video project for my church and it requires me to capture video from a movie. I am using my Xbox's Blu-Ray player to capture scenes and I am using the following computer and capture device:

Apple MacBook Pro, 13.3" Display with an Intel Core i7. 16GB Memory and 512GB Solid State Drive. Intel 7th Gen Core i7 2.5 gig Processo and Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 videocard. My capture device is a
MiraBox Capture Card,USB 3.0 HDMI Game Capture Card Device.

I am looking for the best possible recording settings to use. I am finding that my video recordings are laggy. I have tried recording at 1080, 720 and 480 and it is still laggy. I have found a bunch of tutorial videos online and used a buncg of different output settings for recordings and it is still laggy.

Any help is appreciated!

Include a log file if you have a problem: here's how

Be sure to include an output session-- make sure you've started recording, observed the problem, then stopped recording before uploading the log.

The Auto-Configuration wizard in the Tools menu can also help.

Possible problem: If you are not getting USB3 speed from a USB port the capture device is plugged into; or the GPU in the laptop is not sufficient for the task.

Thank You for your reply. I will log my problem and upload one of my outputs. I will also try your suggestions of using the Auto-Config wizard (I did not know there was one). My mac only has USB-C, so I have to use a dongle for USB-3.0. Maybe my dongle is not working properly. I have a few others I can try.

Again. Thank you!
