It's so weird, I've been using OBS for a while now and I've always been able to record at 1080p (downscaled from the native 1440p resolution) at 60 fps, my recordings used to be fluid and detailed, now they're choppy and laggy.
I have a 1440p monitor 144hz
a ryzen 5 2600 and a gtx 1060.
I am trying to record CS:GO footage , the game does not lag when I record, it's just the video that comes out laggy.
I'm aware that my hardware isn't good enough for 1440p but , as I said, I am recording at 1080p resolution and still clips are unusable.
I started having this problem like 1 month ago, but it didn't always happen, for some reason I could fix the issue by messing with the settings (like switching from codifica Hardware NVENC to software x264 and viceversa, idk what this all means but it worked) but now I literally can't record anymore.
