So after watching a jackfrags video on recording with obs using the nvenc encoder i decided to give it a try, i also recorded while benchmarking as well to see if it impacts my pc and it doesnt, but my recorded videos are quite laggy, its more like 30 fps then 60 and i have no clue why :( any help please? other recording programs seem fine but impact my performance more

Try changing the CPU usage preset to "superfast".

If you're playing a game that uses the GPU, and you're just mainly wanting to get the footage itself, you might want to try Fraps for recording that footage instead of OBS, though it's not free (but it's somewhat cheap at $37), but you could feasibly use the trial version to see if it does what you need.

well i currently use shadowplay, but i love how obs does multiple audio track split recordings etc. There isnt a cpu usage preset on the obs studio one :( maybe because im using the nvidia encoder?

Using nvenc just shifts the load to the video card, and if the card is running in pci-e x8 mode (you can check this with gpu-z) then you're actually overloading the pci-e bus.

ok then try connecting your 2nd monitor to your iGPU Intel HD 4600 (Mainboard). But you need to install their drivers of course. Then you open OBSS on that display.

This will make performance WORSE than if you've got everything on the nvidia.
