Laggy feed / Delayed Audio

So, I just started using obs to record my online classes. However, after taking a few recordings, I noticed that the recordings that I shot was laggy and the audio feed was delayed. I use Macbook Pro as my station, but it seems to be getting hot in just a few minutes of recording. Is there any way to solve this issue?
