laggy computer / stream delay?

Hey guys,

So I just got a Razer blade 15, 2020 base model and have been having problems with OBS. Whenever I run it, I get noticeable system-wide lag, sometimes very bad (not even running a game, we just do livestreams with screen share). There is even a slight delay in the mouse cursor I can feel, on both monitors.

I'm running one external monitor.

We also had a report of our voices being delayed 5 seconds from when we spoke, however when we looked at the saved video on our computer as well as the videos on youtube and facebook, we don't see the delay.

You have a mix of audio sampling rates (see in log)... never recommended

Per log, looks like you need to clean up one of more audio devices (note failures to start)

Plenty powerful computer, but with all those Choma filters and the like, possible CPU/GPU thermal throttling? what are you doing to real-time hardware resource and temp monitoring? I'm suspecting your CPU near pegged hence the system lag feel. IN which case, you need to lower system resource demand... optimize OS (incl any background processes), and/or OBS

And for testing/troubleshooting, I'd use a Wired Ethernet connection (USB adapters are cheap if you don't have a dock which includes Ethernet already)
