Laggy computer and laggy recording

I'm trying to record some drawing I'm doing but OBS lags my computer for me after a while. At the beginning it works fine but after a couple minutes I start to experience stuttering. It gets progressively worse till I have to stop because I can't draw with the immense delay I have while drawing. I hit this point after about 15 minutes but a couple days ago I persisted and my computer crashed. I checked my task manager and nothing seemed to be off. Checking the recording afterwards showed even more stutter than what I was experiencing so the recording was off too.

Does anyone know the cause or how I could fix it? I appreciate any help.

1. Run OBS as Admin. To run OBS as Administrator, right click on the OBS shortcut, properties, advanced, check box, ok, apply, ok.
2. Remove Display Capture and build your scene with Window/Game/Video Capture etc. Only use Display Capture in it's own scene if you absolutely need to capture Windows stuff such as Start menu and Desktop.
3. In the video encoder settings, disable Psycho Visual Tuning and set Multipass to Singlepass. Those use additional GPU.
