Question / Help Lagging in Game

Hey guys, I am currently having a problem while streaming. When I play online games, I am constantly dropping to red bar (lagging) and back to normal every few seconds when I start and continue my stream. It stops when I stop the stream. I do not drop any frames etc so I do not know what is causing this.

I have been constantly changing my preset, trying to find the right one. What is the preset you recommend that would match my settings in the log?

That upload speed is not good enough it is pretty weak and i don't think you can use that kinda upload to stream and game with at the same time you should ask your ISP to upgrade you

I've read that having my bitrate 70 - 75% of my upload speed should be more than fine to stream, so I put my bitrate at 610 since my upload is 0.93. Is this false information or something?

If your using wireless you may get a little extra bandwidth using an ethernet cable instead and see how you go from there

You settings you were using were for 540p 610kbps is not strong enough you need closer to 1000-1500 imo

You have to remember speeds fluctuate they never stay the same you could try doing a 360p stream and see how that goes but other than that deffo think about getting upgrade with your isp

You key frame interval looks like it is set to 60 you should keep that at 2 for twitch.

i would deffo suggest getting your upload speed upgraded man then you got some breathing room to be able to stream without too much hassle. one other thing you could try is lowering the stream fps to like 20 instead of 30 and maybe try 360p or 240p but the overall viewing experience maybe a tad bad. You can mess with the presets aswell to make it better but your cpu will need to be able to handle it and gaming at the same time which will also give a performance drop in game depending on your preset. I guess you could lower your in game fps also.

Thanks for the tips. I forgot to mention that I have recently bought a new router. Would this have any affect on what is happening?

regardless of router your upload is very low. If you are using wireless try using ethernet/wired instead. other than that not really much you can do unless you upgrade your internet.If you're serious about streaming you simply need to be serious about having good internet.
