Question / Help Lagging for no reason. Also, need HQ RGB recording.

So, I setup a bunch of settings for what I though would be a 4k 60fps high bitrare (not lossless) RGB recording, and it lagged, really bad. Even with ultrafast set.

My computer could do that in the old OBS with little trouble.

i7 5820k
16GB DDR4
GTX 980ti.

Not sure what I did, but it's unusable. I need help with these settings.

-Needs to be an RBG recording.
-Probably encoded with h264, unless there is something better.
-4k 60fps Down-scaled well to 1080p
-81000 bitrate (should it be set for 4k res, or 1080p res?)
-Constant framerate and bitrate.

Also, since I edit and render out this video again from PP at a somwhat lower bitrate, am I right in assuming that there will be no difference in end quality between a completely lossless recording and a higher bitrate recording?

Because lossless video is huge and almost impossible to edit without a god-class-PC.

A thought: can your disk handle the bitrate?

Otherwise, can you post a log of a minute capturing?

I use x264 to stream 720p and AMD VCE to record 1080p. I set it to quality based recording. The result is great !
