Hello Goodnight

I have a problem with OBS, I have a laptop and I use a second monitor to see the games there.

The problem I have is that I am watching the game through OBS (for example, configuring it), the screen goes fluid and records fluid, but without any sound in the system, the game does not hear anything at all, when Pulse Control + Tab to go to the game, this is already heard, I can play fluidly, but suddenly in OBS is seen with a lot of delay, much, and no record well, is unworkable.

I've recorded a video so you can see it, but I can not add it.

I have the game on the full screen, the game is Fortnite Battle Royale.

What I can do? I'm desperate.

20:48:24.575: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 3898 (7.7%)

Rendering lag caused by GPU overload.

https://obsproject.com/wiki/GPU-overload-issues

20:48:29.667: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 8699/8748 (99.4%)

Encoder overload. In your case, CPU overload. A lot of it.

https://obsproject.com/wiki/General-Performance-And-Encoding-Issues

20:20:14.859: [x264 encoder: 'recording_h264'] preset: ultrafast
20:20:14.860: [x264 encoder: 'recording_h264'] settings:
20:20:14.860: rate_control: CBR
20:20:14.860: bitrate: 9999999
20:20:14.860: buffer size: 9999999

Not sure what's going on there. That's not a sane bitrate for CBR recording. Did the wizard do that, or is that a change you made afterwards?

If you're recording, choose CRF rate control and a quality setting between 15 (high) and 25.

20:18:01.498: YUV mode: 601/Full

You should most likely change that to 601/Partial.

Thanks, I am going to try the Configurations You mention.

Anyway, after the recording there was an overload in the pc, and in the end I had to remove it from the device manager, I imagine that would be reflected. Yes, the 999999 I put it, because I was already fed up and I started to try, XD

Hello, I have already configured OBS as you mentioned above, but the problem continues to persist, the game goes on the monitor on the left, and obs I have it on the laptop monitor, if I click on the monitor of the laptop, the sound disappears but the game records fluid, however, if I click on the screen of the monitor where I play, the obs image starts to lag but the sound goes well.

Attached capture, where it is reflected that the sound disappears, but the image goes very well.

Regards

Rendering lag caused by GPU overload.

You need to make changes to Fortnite's configuration (possibly capping framerate) to allow OBS access to GPU resources it needs to function.

Only if you buy a capture device and a second computer. A video capture device on a single PC will not reduce rendering lag.
