Bug Report Lag/Sync issue with recorded video

Hey guys, I have been using OBS studio to record local videos for weeks now and everything has been great!

I have recorded Hearthstone in "Game Capture" and Duelyst in "Monitor Capture" - as mentioned both have been working great!

I recorded a Hearthstone video last night - but something strange happened. As the recording went longer and longer - the video FPS got slower and slower, eventually becoming a slideshow (unwatchable) yet the audio remained totally fine.

I experienced no lag or issue whatsoever while playing the game - I didn't even realize there was a problem until I watched the OBS recorded video afterward.

Another very strange thing: The time where I pressed the "stop recording" button does not match up with the end of the video. In addition to the lag/sync problem - there is missing footage that simply didn't get recorded (there should be more audio and video).

I can't think of any reason why this would happen - my setup has not changed from before when I was recording videos successfully... and I cannot seem to reproduce the issue. Future recordings are okay - but I am worried that this could happen again during a critical recording and cause me to lose it permanently.

I have attached the log file for the problematic video, and here is a link where you can see the video. As you'll notice, the video starts out fine, but degrades over time. Fast forward a few minutes in and you will see what I mean.

Here is the video:
https://youtu.be/MK0au9pQFrk

The recording in the log that produced this video was filename: 2016 06 14 23 23 26

Can any OBS experts here see anything fishy in the log file that might explain what caused the problem?

Thanks so much for your time!

make sure obs runs on nvidia card instead of intel hd
vsync in game can also help

you should really consider using quicksync ICQ=23 for recording

choose ultrafast preset when using x264 encoder for recording.

but, due to the fact your on a mobile device, you really should use the Intel Quicksync or NVEnc encoder.
maybe this guide will be also helpful for you

@VanDuits Wow - 90% skipped & 41% lagged frames explains a lot!!

Although it seems if my encoding settings were bad/non-optimal, I would have seen this problem beforehand.

Can you think of any reason why several weeks of recording videos beforehand and recordings I've done since haven't exhibited this problem?

is your CPU running on full clock speed? I remember users of another forum, they too changed nothing but after a windows update their cpu were running in energy save mode (idk the right english description). i hope you know what i mean. maybe you check this out
