I've been having serious lag issues with OBS and I'm not sure why -- I've tried everything I know of.
Messed with Bitrate - anywhere up to 40,000 to down low as 1,500, however it didn't help.
Refreshed settings to default twice - Did this in case I accidentally checked something, yet nothing improved.
Rescale output to a smaller resolution - didn't help.
Tried different encoders -- didn't help.
Lowering CPU usage preset -- Probably helped, but I didn't see a noticeable difference in FPS.
Changed downscale filter -- didn't help.
I tried to record a game called Geometry Dash -- some of you may already be familiar with it but for those who aren't, it's a side-scrolling 2D platformer which as you could imagine isn't very resource demanding. However, whenever I try to initially record, the frames go anywhere from 144 to 5 and usually settle at 20 after a while. I have absolutely zero idea as to what's going on and why this is happening.
