Question / Help Lag Between OBS and Cloner Box Evolve

I'm trying to use OBS to record Nintendo Switch gameplay, but there seems to be 2-3 seconds of lag between the two? When I'm pressing controls the lag is evident as it takes a few seconds to register what I see onscreen through OBS. How do I correct this lag?

This box re-encodes the video so that adds lag. If you lower the bitrate on the box it *may* encode faster but then you'll lose quality.
