Question / Help Keyboard unresponsive when OBS is open

I stream digital art using Photoshop and am struggling with unresponsive keys. Spacebar, command, alt, control and shift work 50% of the time. Sometimes I have to press a key five or six times before it realises it's been hit. It doesn't matter how hard i press or how long I hold it down. Sometimes it even works the other way around, and the key thinks it's being pressed down when my hands aren't even on the keyboard. It's causing a lot of trouble and making drawing very difficult on stream since I use these keys completely in tandem with my pen.

I'm using an iMac ( late 2015 3.3GHz i7) which is about three months old, and OBS Studio 19.0.3. I'm using the wireless bluetooth keyboard that came with the computer, but I have tested this using a wired Razer Deathstalker and the same problem occurs.

This problem has been constant since I first started using this computer, and I didn't encounter it on my previous macbook at all - but this may be because the macbook had an inbuilt keyboard, and OBS just can't handle talking to a keyboard separate from the iMac. I used to think it only occurred while I was streaming, and thought there might be something defective with my iMac's CPU, but after talking to Apple support and resetting the NVRAM, I did another few stream tests and found that it happens even when OBS is simply open, not recording or streaming anything. The Apple support said if resetting the NVRAM didn't make any difference, it would be down to OBS and some communication error between OBS and my computer. Is there anything I can do to fix this, please? I'm desperate to get back to a smooth streaming experience.

Included the log from the test I just did for a minute or two
