I would like to see this. Mostly because, well, in my use I like to keep my preview off whenever I'm playing and streaming, but seeing the preview once in a while would be a nice addition.
Let's just say that having another video feed playing on your second screen while you play, well of course it's heavier for your system and it drops fps, but there's certain situations when preview peeking would be useful, i.e. alerts, or just routine checking if your capture is on.
