Just want decent quality recording with the Logitech Brio

Hello, everyone!

I am completely new to OBS and to video recording in general. I was using a 2017 Macbook Pro to record with my Logitech Brio and was using Logitech Capture. I primarily record at 1080x1080 because the videos are for Instagram and was happy with the quality using Logitech's software. I have now upgraded to a Mac M1 Mini but Logitech's software does not work with the M1 chip, unfortunately. I downloaded OBS and am really loving the software but I can't get the video quality to be even close to as good as with the Logitech software. I feel like I have watched every Youtube video and searched online for answers but have had no luck. I am recording in a well-lit office and I feel like the settings simply need some tweaking. Can anybody recommend settings or an alternate fix?

I am in a similar situation. I have a new Mac Mini M1, and the Logitech Brio. Well lit office, etc. The Brio streams to FB pretty well, but when I use OBS to record, the clarity just goes out the window.

If I sit really close to the camera, it's decent. But the background is grainy. I'm running at 1080 with no downsampling, recording to MKV formats, etc.

Any suggestions or do I have to get a new camera?
