Just bought a new MacBook - OBS is running HOT/Fans on high

Hey guys,
I recently bought a new MacBook, assuming OBS would finally run smoothly on it. The Apple tech assured me it would. I spent nearly 3K on it. As a recording artist who writes and records on Logic, I have to stick with Apple. I've been fortunate enough to be offered a co-hosting position on a Large, established YT channel and was encouraged by the owner of that channel to establish my own livestreams in addition. I don't want to miss this opportunity. The specs on my MacBook are 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, AND 32 GB's of RAM. Every time I fire up OSB and do test streams on YT the fans go crazy and the bottom of the MacBook gets really warm.
I can only assume this is a problem that's been encountered here before. Any tips or solutions, or will I just have to learn a new streaming platform?

Thanks kindly in advance!

1) Sales people will tell you anything to make the purchase.
2) Open Activity Monitor on your Macbook and check our CMD-4. How much GPU % is being used by OBS. The Fans will spin up for CPU or GPU heat.
3) If you see a lot of GPU usage, there is a known issue in OBS not present in the windows version that chews through GPU bandwidth for no good reason. If you set a non-hidpi resolution on your macbooks lcd, GPU utilization will significantly drop.

non-hidpi resolution

Thank you so much! Sorry to be annoying but i'm having a difficult time setting a non-hidpi resolution my Mac's lcd. Would you mind telling me how and what settings you'd recommend? I couldn't find anything online about this. Thanks again.
