Question / Help Just a bit curious about the AMF plugin.

So I'm attempting to set up a dedicated streaming rig and I'm just curious as to whether or not I'm doing this correctly.

My set up is like this:
...................................................... / Display Port > 1440p144hz Monitor
i7 Gaming Computer > AMD Fury X > 2x Display Port > 2 Other 1080p Monitors
.\HDMI to 1080p Monitor................... \ HDMI Duplicate @ 1080p60 > Elgato Gaming HD60 Capture Card > i7 Stream Rig

I'm wondering if using the AMF plugin benefits me with this set up or should I be using Quick Sync? Because the host computer is using an AMD card for rendering, does the AMF encoder benefit me? Or, because I'm using another rig to capture the footage, should I instead be mirroring to the Intel HD graphics and using Quick Sync.

How is this handled?

That depends. Do you intend to use the gaming rig for anything but gaming? (Recording and the occasional stream)
If yes, then it will definitely help. Especially a Fury/Fury X has a lot of unused raw power for encoding, so it will have next to zero effect on gaming at the best quality possible.
If no then go with what you are planning to go with right now - it only benefits those that don't want to use a second computer for streaming and recording footage.
