Question / Help Jack Input Client not shown in mixer/Properties/Device

Hi.
First post here.
I'm trying to record/stream video and audio using OBS in Linux Ubuntu Studio 18.10, but I probably misunderstood how to get Jack working with it. I'm not getting any audio of it.
The few videos and explanations about it out there led me to think that after `+ Jack Input Client` as a source, I would be able to choose it as a device in the mixer, but it is not an option in the drop-down menu list.
I even did the routing in QJackCtl from SuperCollider (from which I'm getting the sound) to Jack Input Client. Of course, with no result.

I appreciate any support on that question.

Just some more info:

I did start Jack first. Today I tried again and thought it worked. The audio track in the mixer was modulating and all, but the video got no audio. Through the Sound Manager (I'm using Ubuntu Studio) I could choose `Jack source (PulseAudio JACK Source)`. Jack Input Client is not working even after patching SC outs with its ins in qjackctl connection kit.
