Question / Help Issues with sync/blur?

Hello everyone. I've been streaming gameplay footage for a while now on my channel, and I've been dealing with some issues that I THINK are the cause of OBS. (and not my capture device as initially feared) Hard to explain/pinpoint the problem but there are two annoying issues that get me frustrated. Either my video desyncs the audio/video if the bitrate is too high, or the video blurs like mad if the bitrate is too low and the action on screen is too fast. It seems no bitrate will fix the blur issue without desyncing my audio, and I've been searching for solutions EVERYWHERE that wouldn't require me to purchase a new capture device (I can't afford one yet)

For those curious, my main settings are Window capture, (Yes I know its not recommended but its the only way to record my capture software, Empia as game capture doesn't work at all.) and a bitrate of 440. (any more and it desyncs the audio) My audio comes directly from the device (under the audio section I can choose the USB device for audio) and I rarely use mic.

Log file (Whatever that does) is here

So TLDR: Either I get blur or desync audio. How to stop both? It's driving me insane.

@SeafoamGaming Welcome!

First,instead of using Window Capture,why not use Display Capture with a Crop filter?Just set a Display Capture source,right-click it,click Filters,press the '+' button & choose Crop.Enter the dimensions you prefer.

Second,what do you mean by bitrate?Is it audio bitrate or video bitrate?

I had the audio bitrate at 48 (changed to 128 recently), not knowing they were separate bitrates, but generally increasing the video bitrate would make the audio one fail to catch up (And if I made it too high it wouldn't stream at all.)

As for display capture, I may try that although I don't want to use it if it would mean seeing my mouse cursor (which would happen off and on or any other windows I bring up during stream

Doing some more streams, things have been hit or miss. Now the audio stays in sync mostly (getting a bit off sync at random though, seemingly depending on when I unplug my capture device to fix lag) but the blur gets worse despite a lack of bitrate change. What on earth is the deal? Is window capture really that bad, or is it something else? I'd rather not use display capture as it may screw up the settings I already have for the window capture.

Could it be update related? Haven't updated OBS since may. (I also haven't upgraded my mac to sierra yet either)

https://gist.github.com/b1101d6a30d8436970f817fc67c3da35 Log for attempted display capture stream

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeUkZXjZFU8 hidden unlisted video of said stream and all the problems/settings

Still shows blur, but goes away at bitrate of 1400 (which in turn makes the stream impossible)

My internet runs smoothly so I doubt its that unless it has something to do with the upload speed (Which is horribly slow)

so for now I'll have to stick to window capture and tell folks who moan about the blur to STFU and fix it themselves if they know how since I tried everything

Didn't update anything yet as I don't want to break these settings

EDIT: Heard that it depends on my resolution as well, but I'd prefer if my YT videos took up the full size of the video player, so I don't think I can lower it. If there's a way I can without making it condensed let me know.
