Question / Help Issues with streaming

I have issues with streaming using the OBS studio software. My stream will be fine whenever I am not inside the game but have it opened on tab. However, whenever I start playing the game, the FPS on my stream will drop till eventually it freezes and changes frames only over time, more or less like photos instead of a video. I have no issues with audio. I play games such as Overwatch & 7 days to die and it happens on both the games. Will appreciate any help :)

If performance slowly gets worse over time I'd check your CPU temperature first, if it's overheating it will reduce its speed to prevent damage.
