Question / Help Issues with OBS and Overwatch

When I stream Overwatch on PC, I'm getting issues with mouse smoothness. I'm checking my FPS, and it's always above 120. I run OW on low settings with full screen on.

My obs settings:

As far as the stream is concerned, it's totally fine. I'm only getting issues in-game with OW. I also notice the CPU usage is extremely high when running OW compared to other games, but I'm not 100% sure this is the cause. When I use NVENC, the hitboxes in-game are totally skewed.

I've attached my log from my recent stream. I'm running a hard wired internet setup.

PC specs:
i5-3570k OC'd to 4.2Ghz
GTX 660ti
16GB ddr3 ram

I'm also making sure to not having my Twitch channel open in the background; also, I make sure to not have a preview open on OBS itself. I make sure to only have 1 tab open on Chrome aswell.

Thanks for letting us know your CPU is OC'd, as that can always introduce odd quirks.

Overwatch is a CPU hog. No getting around that. NVENC probably isn't useful for streaming on your system. Your GPU is old, and therefore it has a much older implementation of NVENC. Should you ever decide to record local video, NVENC might be viable for that, but probably only at 1080p@30f or 720p@30f. You might be able to do 720p@60f recordings, but I can't say for sure.

Do you also get mouse smoothness issues while playing Overwatch and recording local video with the same settings as your streaming settings?

The only immediate recommendation I can give is to uncheck the "Rescale Output" option in your Streaming options. I might be able to provide some guiding questions or suggestions...

Have you tried the 64-bit OBS Studio to see if that performs any differently? Have you tried the game capture source's "Limit capture framerate" option? Have you considered capping your Overwatch FPS to 60 or 120? What resolution is Overwatch running at?

You might consider putting your Overwatch scene(s) into its own Scene Collection. That will prevent any sources from other scenes also causing CPU load.
