I am new to this. I wanted to convert my 8 mm tapes to digital. I am using a laptop. I have the EasyDay usb video capture adapter (compatible w/Easycap) with audio/video cords and the additional audio/video connectors to plug into my old webcam (Sharp VL-AH50. I downloaded the OEM driver and I pull up the OBS platform and add my camcorder as a new video capture device and click on the USB2.OATV for the device to record and when I play the 8 mm tape in my camcorder the video does not show up in the OBS platform therefore records a black video. My camera on my laptop is an option and when I click that it shows up. But not the video on the camcorder. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance!
