Bug Report Issue with Window Capture

If you use antivirus / security software you may need to re-whitelist the OBS exe files.

The problem is it either goes to a black screen or it freezes on the frame it's on and won't change regardless if the tab is closed or not. Take Paragon for instance youcan not stream that game on OBS with out window capture because the ready screen bugs out game capture to the point of having to restart the game When i put Paragon mainscreen on window capture it freezes and doesn't move like a still picture regardless of which match priority i put it on. as i said before i don't even use Virus Scan and only program i have is Spybot i haven't had a whitelist on that ever so that isn't the issue what ever happened happened in this last update Which is why i provided the log or it could be windowes creator update those are the only two things that happened since i last streamed it.

Your log doesn't really show anything useful there. It shows you capturing wow-64.exe, which worked.

Please post a link to a clean log file. To make a clean log file, first restart OBS, then start your stream/recording for ~30 seconds and stop it again. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc. When you're done select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.

I need to see why Game Capture isn't working, not window capture. While yes, window capture should be looked at if there are any issues, games should be using game capture. If there is an issue there, our time is much better spent fixing game capture.

I did change window capture prioritization with 19, but it'll only affect you if you're set to prioritize window title. Window title will now only capture windows of a specific title *only* and will no longer fall back to other windows of the same type. However, class/type and executable prioritization will still function pretty much the same. Outside of the prioritization, nothing else in the window capture code has changed.

(Sorry about the title, been trying to keep "alarmist" titles to a minimum, and I realized I did change window capture. Modified the title to be less about the update and more about the problem itself, because the only way the update would affect window capture is if you had it set to title prioritization)

Game Capture can't currently capture Unreal Engine 4.16 based games, I have replicated this here.

Yeah,that's the problem you can't use game capture on Paragon the rdy screen glitches the game capture and encompases it until you restart the game

I'll try it with all 3 but i spent an hour last night doing that nothing changed

Nothing, i restarted the game each time on every function moved back n fourth between EXE it just gets frozen on first img recorded... i tried leaving it on the exe it just gets stuck on w/e is on the screen . I tried restarting obs every time to use each one and it still didn't work :(

But it's not like i told you when you use game capture on Paragon the are you ready screen takes up the entire screen and won't go away until you restart the game i'll show a pic in abit.

it takes up the whole screen and it won't reset unless i restart the game which is impractical

Then don't use full screen..... and play in windowed mode, game capture(I use hotkey method) still works at least for any other game.

Actually never mind I'll install the game to see how its captured to test in OBS
