Question / Help Issue with Audio Input Settings with Firewire connected to Thunderbolt on a 2015 macbook pro running mac OS mojave 10.14.6

Hi there,

I have issues send signal from my focus rite pro 40 into my computer.
I use a thunderbolt- firewire connector into my computer but no signal was going in.
Then I try use my buit in computer from my macbook, there were signal going in. Again , i switch over to my logictech webcam c922 build in audio. it world as well. Could some one help me with this? hmmm, I am try to test streaming on fb live as a buddy musician. Thank you!

Firewire audio is extremely fussy with OBS. I can't imagine running it through a thunderbolt adapter improves the situation. USB is much more reliable if you have a way to use it.

I don't own any firewire audio hardware any longer, so no, I do not know for certain that it works.

What I meant is that USB audio devices are more reliable, not that firewire-usb adapters are more reliable than firewire-thunderbolt adapters.
