Question / Help Issue starting recording OBS AMD Hardware

I keep getting the error "Starting the output failed. Please check log for details. Note: If you are using NVENC or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date." I went to device manager and made sure that it was up to date. I have no idea how to fix it.

There's an issue with the vega graphics where the amd encoder doesn't set the correct h.264 level when in automatic mode.

Alright, how do I fix that?

Set the level manually.

You can also manually update the AMF plugin to 2.5.1:

Please be aware that this version might have an issue with crashing OBS on launch. In this case you must revert to the old version and use the manual method.
