Question / Help Issue installing obs on high sierra

Hello team. Im at a loss. Trying to install obs on this macbook pro and it comes up with this message
Installation Failed
The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance

It gets past writing files. Im thinking the drive may be locked or something.
I was able to install it on the regular sata drive on the same computer. I have since upgraded to a ssd. Fresh install of high sierra.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed


Trying to install OBS on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011)
2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
memory 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

I'm guessing a permissions error?

Does the same issue occur on a different user account?

If you backup your boot SSD to an external volume, like a USB with a spinning hard drive, does the installer fail on that volume, also?

I think the issue was the generic ssd I was using. I swapped it out with a sandisk ssd and no issues.
I reformatted the generic drive and used it as storage with out any issues.
