Is there any way to Broadcast PCM 16bit audio to youtube as part of the video ?

Hello, fellows,

I broadcast live music shows, and I notice that the overall quality of the audio produced on my studio is completely different in details from what we finally hear on these broadcasts. On the studio, sounds great, warm, full of details, when broadcasting, we miss a lot of details on the AAC 128 bits codec, even 384 I didn´t see the quality of a true raw PCM 16 or 24 bits, which is full of details. The broadcast sounds more lik an mp3 which was converted some 5 to 10 times, lots of details missing, very thin sound. Is there any way to broadcast audio in PCM along with video ? What format and how could it be used on OBS ?

Thanks !

Not to YouTube or pretty much any other CDN as far as I'm aware.

It can be done but you will have to set-up your own server & deliver the content directly to your viewers. I use the Open Source version so I can't test but MistServer Pro & Enterprise versions support PCM WAV. https://mistserver.org/documentation#Specifications

No log so I can't tell, but make sure you have CoreAudio installed on your system.
