Is there a way to recover a lost recording through OBS

Hello everyone. I recently tried converting a .mkv file from OBS to a .mp4 file using VLC (I now understand that there is a converter in OBS, but bear with me). After I attempted this conversion, it did not work and now all that is left is a 1KB version of the original .mkv file of the recording. I get the "0xc10100be" error whenever I try to open this new file. This was 2 days ago now (2-7-21). I have tried many file repairers, and none of them work. When I attempt to look at the version history of the file, it says that it is the original version. Is there something like a recording backup in OBS? I understand if there's nothing that can be done, but I'm still holding on to hope that there is a way I can recover this file. Thanks for reading.

OBS does not keep 'backup' recordings or buffers. Only the file that's recorded.
You can try running a scandisk, but if the 'converter' you used wrote to the source file, it's gone-zo. The only possible way to save it after that would be forensic file recovery/reconstruction. Probably not even then, if there's been normal disk activity since then.
