Is there a difference between using 'automatically record when streaming' and just setting stream and record to the same hotkey?

The way I've always done it is set 'Start/Stop Streaming' and 'Start/Stop Recording' to use the same global hotkeys. Which to me makes 'automatically record when streaming' under output settings seem kind of redundant.
