Hi, First post so please bear with me :-)
I have just recently discovered OBS and am using it as follows:
Sky Go app > Record Window on my PC and save to a local folder using OBS in "Game Window" capture mode. It took me a while to sort out the best settings to get an acceptable recording but I got there in the end. (set screen of PC to 1280x720; set OBS recording input and output to 1280x720 50PAL fps; play Sky Go app in full screen). These settings stop the stutter of the Sky Go App (its a bit rubbish in 1920 full screen) and the 50PAL Fps seems to look the best.
Plex Server > setup to scan folder and present recorded files to my TV via either Plex App (on samsung MU7000 TV) or via DNLA (using my humax HDR1010s Freesat box)
This is working really well and I can view the saved recordings. what I really would like to do is "psudo" stream so that I can watch the program in "near" realtime but the Plex App on the Sammy and the DNLA app on the Humax refuse to start playing a recording that is currently in the process of recording. The plex app on the same PC has no problem doing this so it must be the Apps on the TV and Freesat box that are barfing.
What I can do is stop the recording then immediately start the recording thus giving me a bunch of files. this is quite okay but it would be really good if I could schedule a stop recording command and then schedule a start recording command say every 30 minutes. Is this at all possible?
Many thanks
Paul
