Is it possible to skip to the next video at a certain time/duration?

Hello, I hope someone can help me with this query.

I stream 1 hour videos (playlist) and many of them have credits at the end of each video (around 5 to 14 minutes, all different).

Is there a way, plugin or something to indicate to each video at what time it should jump to the next video?

Ex: If the video lasts 50 minutes, tell it to only play up to minute 39; and then skip to the next one (skipping the last remaining 11 minutes).

I use VLC Source to use video lists, I don't know any other method and it is difficult to sort when I have 90 videos in a list.
If anyone can give me some advice, I will be very grateful.

Regards!

Hi exeldro,

It's very close to what I was looking for.

However, I could notice that when I have added some files, and I let it play... everything goes well.

1.- But if I later want to edit another item other than the one that is playing, even just editing the name, the other video that was playing restarts (even without having saved changes).. or if I try to change the final duration of another different video (another item), or for each letter that I write when editing the name of that other item, the video that was playing also restarts.

Is this normal?

2.- I also couldn't find a way to play a video in a specific order; That is, if my list has 10 items and item 6 is reproduced; Is there a way to play item 3 without altering the order of the playlist?

I think you are the author of this project, I like it, it is very close to what I was looking for.

All of this is not a complaint, on the contrary, it is feedback and I repeat, I like the work you did, thank you for sharing it.

I hope you can continue improving it.

NOTE:
Tested on version 28.0.3 (Windows)
Now I'll go try it on Ubuntu 22.04.

casttor does this easily, but is a windows only program. It uses data embedded in the file name. ie: [TITLE=NAME OF VIDEO, EPISODE= S1E02, OUT = 48S10]. THE OUT = tells casttor that the clip is 48 minutes, 10 seconds. Of course, you have to add that to the name. It gets to 48:10 and jumps to the next video. There is also a IN=5s30 to trim the start of the video.
