Question / Help Is it possible to output local recordings to a external hard drive?

Hello, I'm fairly new to OBS, and I'm running on Linux Ubuntu 16.04. I was wondering if, or how to record onto a external hard drive. If it helps at all I'm trying to record onto a Transcend 1 TB external hard drive. Anyone know?

You can do this by specifying in OBS Preferences where you want to save your output video file to.

Click on Settings » Output » Recording » File path or URL and click Browse to select the destination of where you want to save it. Depending on what Linux distro you are running, your external drive directory will either be listed in in /media/<user>/<storage_name> or it'll be in /mnt/<storage_name>.

Once selected, just hit Apply and close the Settings and you're done.

Does this mean that the video will have less quality or it will be the same as saving into the default hard drive?
