Question / Help Is it possible to make monitor capture transparent

Hey all!

As the title suggests, is it possible to have a monitor capture transparent? I could not find any way to do this yet so I thought I'd ask here.

Example:

This is what my 2nd monitor looks like.

Now my question is:
Is it possible to make the black backgroud transparent?


Unfortunately I can't capture the other elements shown as no version of OBS I've seen is able to record Rainmeter, so that's why this was the second thing that came to my mind.

You can add a Chroma key filter and key out the black.

What's the end goal here? Are you trying to use your second monitor as some kind of overlay via monitor capture? Black is going to be a terrible color to key out.

I think he is using Rainmeter for the audio spectrum display and the 'now playing' information in the top left and this can only be run on the desktop and not in a window (I had the same idea once and couldn't display it in a window either). Now he wants to put that on top of his game/other in OBS.
The black background is his actual desktop wallpaper (I'd recommend to set that to some chroma key green color).
