Hello everyone!

We did set projector to be on top of everything, what works wonders when recording a powerpoint presentation, BUT we would like to hide the title bar, is there a workaround for that?

My goal is to record the presentation in full screen, having my webcam on top, and been able to see it during the presentation.

Here is an image of the title bar we would like to hide. :D

Thanks Guys! :-D

You don't use a projector for this. Switch it off. Instead of recording the projector, add the webcam source to the scene that also contains the powerpoint presentation. In the list of sources, put it above the powerpoint source, move it in the lower right corner in the OBS preview and resize it to the desired small size. So it's directly in your video.

That solution works well if you are recording. However it seems that Webex/Teams/Zoom handles desktop sharing differently than webcam sharing. Presenting your slides through webcam can result in blurry, jagged output because of lossy compression.
I would also like to see the windowed program output loose the title bar. Desktop sharing would be a lot easier if I can use the program output especially if we can make it transparent.

I also would like to ditch the title bar. I'm streaming via StreamYard, but the virtual camera slows things down too much, while a windowed preview works great.

Quick update....solution was staring me in the face all the time, but just posting it in case any others had same issue....all I had to do was select "Full screen projector preview" and hey presto...solved. Wonderful tool!

I think full screen works nicely if you have second screen. I time to time have to present only with laptop. In these I cannot use full screen - in these I would prefer to share Windowed projector without top bar.

... Ok, after playing a while I think understand what you are saying.

You open "Full screen projector" which is just fullsized window without top bar.

Then you open your app on top of that full screen window.

... and you can still share fullscreen window even it's at the back.

Clever.

Thank you!

Hello there, this is a Mac user but things are the same here too. Having a visible window title on the projector is really a big pain in you-know-what as you cannot professionally screen share your slides+your greenscreenface together..

Full screen projector is not always a good solution for everyone, I'm using my second display for notes, chat/im and other stuff I do not want to share, and while projector window can be "covered" with other windows you cannot do the same when doing fullscreen.

Streamlabs Desktop does almost the same: projector window has black borders and no title, but still has minimize etc icons on top! Still very disturbing when sharing.

On the contrary there's MMHMM app for Mac that's basically an OBS studio with an easier interface and they simply got a title-less "broadcast" window (aka projector) and everything is alright when sharing, but they charge $10 USD a month for just that borderless window..

Is there any way to push for a feature request on OBS?

Hello, I was also dealing with this issue on macOS and since I'm new to OBS I was looking for a solution and google brought me here, I know this is a 2 year old post but I wanted to post a solution I was able to put together after playing with the settings for any others that end up on this page. To get rid of the title bar you will right click the "source" go to "transform" and then "edit transform" at the bottom section select "crop to bounding box" change "top" to "30px" that should get rid of most title bars, you may need to adjust the px size depending on what you see in the preview.
