Question / Help Is it possible to capture a section of a window?

I was wondering if I could somehow capture only a section of a window. Like, for example, capture a web browser window, but only a smaller portion of it instead of the whole thing. I think I read that's a feature of Game Capture, but that option isn't available on the Linux version.

Normally I would say you would capture the whole window and apply the "crop" filter from OBS.

Oh. Well, that seems easy enough. Thanks. :)

But there doesn't seem to be an option to draw a box around the area. The only way I'm seeing is to manually input the box coordinates. It's better than nothing, but it may take a while to get it exactly the way I want it.

In your scene preview you can crop while holding down the ALT key. With ALT pressed and moving the border it crops instead of scale.

I had tried that, but in KDE/Plasma, it would just move the whole OBS window. I just found out how to disable that functionality (or at least change the modifier key to Meta instead of ALT) so now I can use the ALT key to crop.

I suppose I should have looked into that before I asked. Thanks again.
