Hi there,
I'm trying to get a good green screen going and it is working however I'm getting an obvious edge fringe around myself and objects in the scene that aren't being masked out by the chroma key plugin.
Unfortunately currently I have the green screen quite close behind me (a couple of feet) as I can't get it back any further due to space restrictions. I've not got any shadows from myself though so that's one thing.
I do however have a border around myself and other objects which is noticeable and so was wondering if there is any plugin or any way to do a Hue vs Hue sort of colour replacement within OBS so that I can take the green fringe colour and turn it into a different colour?
I've tried using the Key Color Spill Reduction slider in the Chroma Key plugin and I generally have to push it too far in order for it to make a difference.
Obviously I need to get a better edge mask if I can but I have got (I think) fairly good lighting set up on the green screen and myself but I still get this horrible fringe effect. If I push the Chroma Key settings any further then it eats away at parts of the video I don't want to set transparent.
Problem with that is that by not pushing it far enough I'm also left with a slight green cast across the whole image which is a real pain too :-(
I've attached a quick screenshot of what I'm getting within OBS currently which shows the cast and the edge fringe I'm getting. If I could get a much better key then that would obviously fix all my problems but I'm not too sure of how to do that?
Any help or advice anyone could give to get this result better than I'm currently getting would be massively appreciated. If it helps at all then I'm using an iPhone 12 Pro Max as the video source however I will be upgrading to an Insta360 Link camera very soon so not sure if that will make a difference or not.
Many thanks,
Mark
