I have an i7 6700 and i still find some games unplayable when streaming, and i always hear people praising how you want i7's for streaming but to me it really doesnt cut it...

Do people with those i7 6950x CPU's still notice lag when streaming on one PC? Is it better to have a dual pc stream than a 1500$ CPU for streaming on 1 pc?(performance wise)

There's no one answer to this. It depends on what you're trying to stream, at what quality, what your connection can handle... etc. etc.

Without more information the answer is "Plausible."

x264 3500kbps twitch stream 60 fps @720p with 100/100 network

by lag i mean fps drops and some input lag you notice when you stream some games(which is non existent when you have dual pc streams from what ive heard)
