Is an i7 4790 enough for 1440p 60 recording with elgato 4k60 pro mk2?

I tried recording but every setting I try the FPS drops to like 30 or 40 sometimes even 20

some settings the CPU just sits there at 20%

and some go to like 90%

is it enough? I need help, thanks

I don't think that generation of Quicksync can handle 1440p at 6 FPS

Do you think adding like a GTX 1060 to utilize the nvenc encoding will be a good idea?

or if GPU is the way to go what is the cheapest GPU you recommend?

I bought a Quadro T400 for $120 from Dell, and they're also available on Amazon and other stores for varying prices but all under $200... It has the NVENC 6th generation encoder chip (slightly different from the new 7th gen)
