Question / Help Is a new source name required after pressing stop recording?

Once I click stop recording, does that mean if I want to record something new that I must make up a new Source name, or can I continue using the same source name for different stuff?

No, you don't need to create new sources for every recording.
But really, that's one of the very basic stuff you can just try out and see how it works. To anticipate your next question: you can also just try out if OBS will overwrite recordings or create unique new file names for video files for every new recording. Just start and stop recording multiple times and see what will happen.
