Iphone with Epoccam and Elgato Camera Hub Issues

Last week I installed OBS Studio, Elgato Camera Hub, Itunes - all to my new computer (Acer Nitro) and Epoccam to my iphone and successfully streamed on twitch with both my iphone and my laptop webcam. Today I tried to stream and OBS would not recognize the Elgato camera hub/iphone camera. I tried with the preview on in Elgato Camera Hub and with it off. Did I skip a step this week? How do I get OBS to recognize my iphone through Elgato as a video source?

I'm having this same problem. I used EpocCam on my iphone to stream via OBS to YouTube on my PC and it was working fine. About 15 minutes into the stream OBS showed the message pictured below, however the camera hub and epocCamera on my phone were both connected and working fine. The problem seemed to be interfacing with OBS. Any solutions? Thanks!

Want to give this a little bump - I'm now experiencing the same issue. It doesn't matter if I'm connected via USB or wifi. After streaming for an hour and a half last night, the camera plugin appeared to disconnect. Even with a reboot it isn't working anymore though the camera feed is showing up just fine inside the Camera Hub. I've resorted to display capturing and cropping to get the camera feed.

I am also having the same issue. I have to do the exact same thing as the person above me. I've seen people using camlink as a work around but that is an extra $100. It would be nice if this could get fixed.

I’m having a similar issue where I can see my feed from the capture hub, but not from obs

I had this same issue, except mine wasn't showing as a source at all, when it use to, and I tried everything. I got it to work today and I hope it works for you and everyone else. I opened Camera Hub and checked it for an update. It usually tells me there is one and this time it did not. There was an update after I checked. I updated, closed everything, reopened everything and tired to create the scene and source again. Finally, in video capture device I saw a third source named Elgato Virtual Camera. I clicked on that and it is the Camera Hub source for Camera Hub and Epoccam. As of right now it is working fine as it should. All it needed was a Camera Hub update and a fresh reset of everything. Again, this is what corrected my issue. I hope it corrects all of y'alls too. Side note: The source only works, for me, when the source resolution is set to default. It stops working if I try to use a custom resolution even with the custom resolution set to the default resolution.

I've been having issues like this as well. The only way I have been able to work around it is by opening NVIDIA BROADCAST and telling it to use to use the Elgato Virtual Camera. Then I go and select Camera (NVIDIA Broadcast) as my device.
I hate having to daisy chain my devices like this, but it is the only way I've gotten the Elgato Camera to work.
I run a 3 camera set up on OBS and learned the hard way that OBS doesn't like multiple sources that are the same. I used to run 2 C910s and a no name brand webcam but they started failing on me in OBS.
I've switched over to two old iPhones (each running a different program: DroidCam and EpocCam) and the no name webcam.
That set-up worked for a good 6 months until EVC stopped talking to OBS.
