iPhone NDIHXCamera working with OBS on Mac M1 chip but not on Intel: Android works on both Mac flavours

Observations
1. OBS on an Intel MacBook Pro was working fine with iPhones and NDIHXCamera app until a month ago. Now unable to display iPhone NDIHXCamera, yet NDI Monitor application shows that the iPhone is transmitting NDI video. But OBS continues to work with Android and NDIHXCamera app on this Intel Mac.
2. M1 MacBook Pro continues to work with iPhones and NDIHXCamera app; and with Android and NDIHXCamera app.

Question
How come the iPhones no longer connect with OBS on the Intel Mac but continue to connect with the M1 Mac whilst Android phones connect to both Intel and M1 Macs?

DETAILS
I have two development machines: both Apple MacBook Pro 13": one 2018 year using Intel chip, the other 2020 year M1 chip: otherwise hardware very similar spec.
Mac OS on both machines is Big Sur 11.6 (20G165)
NDI Tools on both machines is identical:
NDI Tools 5
NDI Virtual input 3.0 (3)
NDI Video Monitor 5.0 (33)

Both machines have identical OBS 27.0.1 (64 bit) installed with identical profile.

OBS plugin obs-ndi installed per Palakis specification. Palakis obs-ndi 4.8.0
