iPad Screen Recording "Standard"

After doing a bit of research, it's unclear to me which method most people are using to connect an iPad to OBS Studio for screen capture. What is everyone using?

I could connect via a USB/Lightning cable, but would prefer wireless. Ideally, I'd be able to specify recording of a single application versus the entire screen, but I can always crop the video capture in OBS Studio if that's not possible.

I always like to connect via lightning cable and take wireless out of the equation as I don’t consider it to be dependable enough for my workflows.

wireless conection are not very good to transport realtime video data and use apple too !

@wgp123 and @cyclemat Thank you. If you're using a USB connection, how are you pulling in the video? Is there a specific plugin you're using?
