Question / Help IP video: VLC vs. Media Source vs. NDI Source

Hi. Currently running a simple setup with one PTZOptics camera. Likely to expend to 2-3 cameras later this year.

I can get my video from the camera via the VLC plug-in or via the Media Source (using rtsp:// for both), and presumably via the NDI Source if I pay some $ and register my camera with them. Question: is there any benefit or disadvantage to using one over the other? And does your answer change for a single vs. multi-camera setup?

Thanks.

As far as I know, from my perspective NDI provides two main advantages : low latency (2 frames on well configured network), auto discovery of sources.
Low latency is a real advantage for live display on screens.
Auto discovery of sources is a real advantage with several cameras and/or occasional smartphones with NDI camera app.
For live streaming to internet and reduced number of static cameras NDI is not mandatory.
